Overview

Position: ABA Therapist

Reports to: Program Managers

Summary: Responsible for providing intensive 1:1, behavior intervention services based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Clients include children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other language delays.

Responsibilities:

*Providing direct 1:1 therapy sessions

– implementing all skill acquisition programs & maintenance programs

– collecting accurate data

– implementing all behavior protocols & FBA/BIPs as provided

*completes insurance forms and parent notes daily

*completes daily cleaning checklist

*input data (in excel) as time allows

*attends & implements feedback from weekly supervision with POD Managers

*contacts POD Manager when appropriate with pertinent information for each client

*attends & maintains all outside training certifications (CPI, CPR, First Aid, etc.)

*utilizing CPI strategies when deemed necessary and when in behavior protocols

* accurately inputs client data into program binders daily

*completes & maintains Registered Behavior Technician training

*follows all mandated reporter standards

*works well with team & demonstrates professionalism in workplace

*demonstrates creativity & “think outside the box” attitude to provide support and achieve positive outcomes for all clients

*consistently builds rapport with clients & families to achieve best possible outcomes

*follows all LAC policies & procedures accurately and consistently

Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college in Psychology, ABA, Special Education, or related field OR at least 3 years of experience in related field with reference from LAC employee

*flexible, creative, & possessing excellent time management skills

*experience in ABA programs is preferred, but not required
