The County of Los Angeles is pleased to announce that applications for the Management Fellow position will be accepted May 15, 2017 @ 8:00 am PST through May 26, 2017 @ 5:00 pm PST: a two-year, paid full-time fellowship with a benefits package that includes medical, dental, retirement pension, and two deferred compensation plans.
Individuals, who are interested in pursuing a career in County government, should possess a Master’s degree or higher OR current students who will confer their graduate degree by December 31, 2017.
The program provides Fellows with a unique opportunity to work in the most populous county in the nation. With 35 County departments, Fellows work in many dynamic programs and service –oriented operations such as children and family well-being, County business operations, community based programs, capital programs, health and mental health services, and public safety.
In addition to challenging work assignments, Fellows will receive a minimum of 160 hours of formal training over their two-year fellowship. Training opportunities may include leadership courses as well as program or department-specific training and seminars. Fellows also gain access to exclusive networking opportunities, work on a developmental assignment, and periodically meet with a mentor to supplement their professional development.
